Good Evening,
First, I want to welcome you to the new cadet training year and hope that everyone had a great summer holiday, that your son(s)/daughter(s) had a good return to school.
While we are approved to restart training, certain safety protocols, training modifications and guidelines have been directed by our Chain-of-Command; the staff at 3125 Calgary Highlanders (Chestermere) had been hard at work planning and getting things organized for the cadets to return. We will restart virtually at first and later transition back to limited in-person activities. We understand there will be cadets and/or parents who may be cautious and/or not be comfortable about returning to in-person interaction, THAT IS OK. Please let us know when the time comes and we can have a further conversation on alternative options. The Cadets and Staff's health and safety are our utmost priority, alongside with their development and success.
The foundation to our corps' success are communication and collaboration, at every level of our partnerships. This includes cadets, parents/families, Officers, and volunteers, members of our Unit Support Group, Army Cadet League, City of Chestermere, and the Department of National Defence. *THANK YOU for everyone's efforts over the last 6 months*
Here are a few things you can expect ...
Administration will start for re-enrollment (an email was sent tonight with the details). IF you did not received this please let us know via DM with your cadet's name and your prefer email address.
8 Sept 2020 - Senior Cadets meeting
15 Sept 2020 - Parents Q & A (New cadets/parents are welcome)
22 Sept 2020 - Meeting with ALL cadets
29 Sept 2020 - Virtual training continues, update to in-person training (if available).
Camp Chestermere continues to be supportive of our program and welcomes us back into their facility, upon permission to return to in-person training is granted. Health and Safety protocols will be in effect under the National directive: These will be shared in the upcoming meetings.
I want to thank you for your continued support of 3125 Calgary Highlanders (Chestermere) RCACC and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.
If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.
