Below is the information for the Stampede parade this July. Our goal is to send 130 cadets (all elements) to assist as pacers, which will provide the cadet program ongoing representation throughout the parade.

If your cadets (or yourself) are interested, please connect with Capt Fong.

Good Day Folks,

The Calgary Stampede has once again requested Cadet participation in the Parade this year. This is an excellent opportunity for us to gain invaluable exposure for our program, on an international stage. We also received new recruits into the Cadet program from our participation last year. This year they are asking for 130 Cadet participants to act as Pacers. We are seeking 35 Cadets from each of the three elements, as well as 25 Navy League Cadets.

On Thursday 5 July 2018 there is a BBQ for all participants from 1700-2000 wherein final details/discussion will occur on how the parade will unfold, including Cadet duties as Pacers (see attached poster).

On Friday 6 July 2018 breakfast will start at 0600, and Pacers need to be in place NLT 0715 hrs. The end timing for this activity is 1300 hrs.

Unit CO’s - what we need from you: canvass your units and identify interested Cadets. Register your Cadets in Fortress under CalStampP18. We also require Officers and screened Adults to assist in supervision during the parade/along the parade route.

Diary Date for Unit CO’s to register participating Cadets in Fortress, and identify Officers and screened Adults who can assist with supervision to their Zn Trg O is NLT 0800 Monday 25 June 2018.

Regards,
