Physical Fitness
One of the primary aims of the Canadian Cadet Movement is to promote physical fitness.
A high standard of physical fitness is required for many advanced training courses and exchanges, to ensure cadets can safely and effectively complete these training. As such courses and activities are often very physically demanding.
Cadet Fitness Assessment:
The procedure for assessing the fitness level of cadets are continually revised. The once Army Cadet Fitness Test (ACFT) had been replaces with the Cadet Fitness Assessment (CFA).
Four levels may be achieved: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Excellence. The criteria of each level assessment takes into consideration a cadets's age and gender.
The CFA is composed of 6 evaluations, which are designed to evaluate cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, and flexibility. These tests include:

- 20 meter shuttle run test
- push-ups
- sit-ups
